Jason Deans along with a host of other artists will be taking part in an exhibition of newly graduated artists from the University of Ulster from the 5th – 20th November. There will be a variety of artworks on show in the 3000 sq ft Platform gallery including paintings, textiles and installations. The exhibition opens to the public on the 5th.
Opening times: Thursday to Saturday 12 noon to 4pm, Monday – Wednesday by appointment only.

Aisling Wallace is a jewellery designer based in Dublin. She creates unique contemporary, high quality, wearable jewellery. Her current collection incorporates handcrafted sterling silver and gold pieces, as well as a range of jewellery made from semi precious stones and sterling silver. Each piece of jewellery is individually made by Aisling at her studio in Dublin. For her work she draws inspiration from a number of sources including nature and the Irish landscape.
Aisling also makes bespoke pieces according to clients’ individual requirements. Her jewellery in her portfolio web space is available to buy and can be purchased directly from Aisling.

As we said in our previous post we are going to highlight the new members to the RiseCreatives site. Today we start with Cherith Brown. Cherith is a fine artists currently studying for a Masters in Fine Art at the University of Ulster. Over the past few years she has taken part in a number of exhibitions including a solo exhibition in 2007. This year she is taking part in a joint exhibition organised by the University of Ulster’s School of Art and the School of Design and Visual Art (SDVA) at Georgian College, Canada. The exhibition titled “Exchange” is an exchange of works on paper. Students from the SDVA, Canada will be exhibiting their work at the University of Belfast while the Irish students will be exhibiting their work in Canada. The exhibition runs from October 15th – November 8th, 2009.
One of Cherith’s pieces “Anomaly” was selected by the University of Ulster to be part of their art archive. Her current portfolio of work is on show in her web space, where she is exhibiting a range of beautifully intricate pen and ink drawings. A number of new artists, designers and craftspeople have joined RiseCreatives over the past few months many of them recent graduates. Some have decided to continue their studies while others are beginning the process of developing their careers in their chosen fields. The quality of the work that our new members are exhibiting in their portfolio web spaces is absolutely fantastic so we have decided to highlight them here in our blog as well as on the RiseCreatives site. Each week we will feature a new member as they talk about their work, past and current exhibitions and their plans for the future.
