Opportunities from Craft Northern Ireland

April 19th, 2010 § 0

Craft Northern Ireland got in contact with us to let us know about two opportunities available to designer-makers this summer. Firstly, Garden Show Ireland takes place from the 21-23 May in Hillsborough Castle. The show attracts over 25,000 visitors each year. Craft NI is currently investigating the possibility of arranging a marquee at the event where 8 selected makers would exhibit sell and possibly demonstrate their work over the two and half days. Currently, the total cost per maker is £250+VAT. However depending on levels of uptake, Craft NI may be able to offer a subsidised rate to selected makers.

Expression of interests must be received by 4pm on Friday, 23 April 2010 by emailing info@craftni.org with “Garden Festival” in the subject line.

All-togetherThe second opportunity is for designer-makers living and working in Northern Ireland who wish to take part in two selected trade/craft fairs in the UK. Craft Northern Ireland are coordinating a group presence at the 100% Design, Earls Court, London 23-26 September 2010 (www.100percentdesign.co.uk) and the Great Northern Craft Fair, Springfields, Manchester 21-24 October 2010 (www.greatnorthernevents.co.uk). If you are a maker wishing to expand your business by reaching buyers, curators, interior designers, journalist and collectors you should email tradeshows@craftni.org for an application form and further information. All forms must be submitted by 4 May 2010.
